Tech IR/Special Procedures

Job Title

• Interventional Radiology (IR)/Special Procedures Technician

• Salisbury, NC

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days, 5 shifts per week, 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including scrub and circulate roles in the IR/Cath Lab setting
• Support the provider during procedures with required equipment setup and sterile techniques
• Handle patient monitoring in adult and geriatric populations
• Respond to urgent/emergent procedures, including STEMI and IR callbacks, with 30-minute response times
• Participate in on-call rotations, with at least 7 call days per month, including weekend coverage
• Maintain compliance with safety and documentation protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a cardiac/interventional radiology environment
• IR experience must constitute at least 90% of role duties
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS/C with Med Experience
• Skills: Scrub, circulate, telemetry, EKG lead placement
• Must have ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, or RCIS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced imaging and procedural equipment such as GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon, AngioJet, PNeumbra, EKOS, and Impella
• Additional certifications: RCES, advanced ARRT, or related specialties
• Ability to perform medication administration (by RN only), and assist with complex procedures
