Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | On-Site | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients in a high-acuity 8-bed CICU setting
• Care for patients received from the Cath Lab, Emergency Department, and Acute Care areas requiring specialized cardiac intervention
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate high levels of professional competency and clinical judgment in a fast-paced cardiac environment
• Maintain a safe, secure, and patient-centered care environment
• Float to other units or facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Nursys verification required
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent CICU/CVICU specialty experience
• AHA ACLS certification
• AHA BLS certification
• AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification or Red Cross equivalent

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification (required if assigned to a pediatric unit)
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• 2 or more years of CICU/CVICU nursing experience
