Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | 12-Hour Days/Evenings with a variable schedule. Shift hours will range between 0700–1930, 0900–2130, 1030–2300, 1200–0030, and 1300–0130. Up to 3 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) required per pay period. Holiday coverage required based on unit needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department handling approximately 120 patients daily
• Manage and monitor patients across a range of emergency conditions, including chest pain and stroke presentations
• Care for inpatient boarders within the Emergency Department as needed
• Adapt quickly to rapidly changing patient conditions and departmental needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a self-motivated and team-oriented manner
• Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism throughout variable shift schedules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience within the last 12 months
• Active Kansas RN License or Multi-State RN License
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• NIHSS and Conscious Sedation Competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience with inpatient boarding and high-acuity emergency environments
