Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on patient experience
• Manage and care for patients presenting with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, sepsis, acute kidney failure, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, and post-heart catheterization
• Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and manage medications utilizing the Omnicell medication system
• Float to other units based on census needs, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and testing within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must not be a first-time traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke and TIA patient populations in an inpatient setting
• Familiarity with higher-acuity medical surgical patient care and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis or continuous bladder irrigation procedures
