Contract | Onsite | Rotating Shift (Day/Night 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in an intensive care unit setting, including patients up to 25 years of age
• Monitor and manage patients requiring epilepsy monitoring and inotropic support
• Perform ECG/EKG rhythm recognition and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Administer and manage care in accordance with PICU protocols and unit operational needs
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage as required by unit scheduling
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a valid Compact State license, in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for
• Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric nursing experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission
• Experience with EKG interpretation and inotropic medications
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric critical care environment
• Familiarity with electronic time and attendance systems used in travel nursing environments
