Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity progressive care unit (PCU) nursing care to a medical oncology patient population, including solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias, utilizing rapid response teams as appropriate
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, ports, PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer blood products, manage heparin protocols, and oversee cardiac drips including titration
• Provide respiratory support including HFNC, external CPAP/BIPAP, tracheostomy management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Adhere to strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures throughout all care activities

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Demonstrated high-acuity PCU patient care experience
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and advanced clinical skills including chest tube management and feeding tube care
• Minimum of 2 professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with arterial line management, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, and surgical drains
• Experience with phlebotomy and non-invasive airway management
