Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0700–1900) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Holiday requirement applies

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit managing common diagnoses and procedures including labor, induction of labor, Cesarean section delivery, External Cephalic Version, fetal demise, and intrauterine fetal death
• Perform and manage specialized procedures including epidural management, Magnesium Sulfate administration, Pitocin titration, and insulin drips
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity within a 21–30 bed unit
• Document patient care using Cerner (currently transitioning to Epic)
• Float to support related areas including Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, and Postpartum as needed based on acuity
• Provide timely shift handoff to charge or oncoming nurse, including outstanding tasks and relevant clinical updates not captured in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery specialty — no exceptions
• Current certifications required; all expiration dates must be provided at time of submission
• All requested time off must be submitted at initial submission; requests submitted after will not be considered
• Voice Advantage interview and nurse manager screening required prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR; familiarity with Epic is a plus given active system transition
• Experience floating to Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, or Postpartum settings
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity obstetric patients and emergent situations effectively
