• Full-time, Night shifts, 1 shift per week

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform a variety of nursing care procedures for emergency department patients of all ages.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while providing high-quality emergency care.
• Follow provider’s orders, standards of care, and hospital policies to deliver appropriate nursing interventions.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with medical staff and support personnel to coordinate care and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs/Techs, ensuring proper patient care and safety standards are met.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree).
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or qualified state; application for Alaska license must be completed before start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); if not held, must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Clinical competency within 3 months of employment, with re-evaluation every three years.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in emergency department, acute care, or long-term care settings.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred for ED nurses.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies related to emergency care.
