Key Responsibilities
- Perform safe, sterile setup and handling of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases
- Gather all necessary instrumentation and supplies as indicated on surgeon pick sheets
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of patient care and departmental operations
- Accept pressure assignments, clerical assignments, and other duties relative to the surgical department
- Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current ORT (Operating Room Technologist) certification required
- Current operating room experience is essential
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Ability to communicate effectively with department personnel, medical staff, and vendor representatives
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience handling both routine and emergency surgical cases
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment
