Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | 8-Hour Shifts | Weekends and Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to patients in an acute care behavioral health setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for psychiatric patients
• Accurately document patient information and care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Monitor patient behavior and safety, applying crisis prevention and intervention techniques as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient treatment and recovery goals
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage on an as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience in an acute care setting
• Active CPI certification with a valid Blue Card (required at time of submission)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting
• Prior travel nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity inpatient psychiatric environment
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills in a behavioral health context
