Contract | 12-Hour Evening Shifts (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room setting serving approximately 3,000 patients per month
- Assess, monitor, and treat a diverse patient population including elderly and pediatric patients
- Perform and interpret EKG readings as part of routine emergency care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams in a Level II emergency environment with a cardiology focus
- Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- Current ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC or TNS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system
- Familiarity with cardiology-focused patient populations
- Experience caring for geriatric and pediatric emergency patients
