Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across general medical, intermediate, and ICU patient populations including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Manage and operate primary ventilators (Servo U, Servo i, LTV, Trilogy) as well as BiPAP/CPAP (ResMed S9) and heated high-flow systems (Fisher & Paykel)
• Adhere to the AARC point system with an assigned daily workload of approximately 26–28 points
• Participate in a structured departmental orientation including EHR training, ventilator review, IPV, and specialty item review, followed by preceptored shifts
• Collaborate with on-site hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7 and utilize team lead resources available on every shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification required
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• Minimum experience in a large critical care facility (300+ beds)
• Critical care experience required
• Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RRT credential strongly preferred over CRT
• Proficiency with Servo U, Servo i, LTV, and Trilogy ventilator platforms
• Familiarity with ResMed S9 BiPAP/CPAP and Fisher & Paykel heated high-flow systems
