Travel RN – Labor and Delivery

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for obstetric patients 20+ weeks gestation, including labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OB emergency and triage evaluations, and postpartum surgical patients
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current NRP certification required
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Perinatal RN Residency completion or recent practice in a perinatal setting preferred
