Summary
iDEAL HIRE is hiring a new Middle School Math Special Education Teacher for our client in the Education industry. This is a full-time role, working in Washington, DC, offering a pay rate of starting $43/hr.

- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with general education and special education teams to support inclusive classroom instruction.
- Deliver specialized math instruction tailored to students with diverse needs in grades 5-8.
- Assist in designing and adapting curriculum and IEP goals to maximize student learning.
- Support small group and one-on-one instruction inside the classroom.
- Monitor and document student progress, preparing quarterly reports and communicating with families.
- Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions regularly.
- Supervise and provide training to classroom aides working with students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to special education strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s in Special Education preferred.
- Valid D.C. Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience teaching math to middle school students (grades 5-8).
- Proven experience working with students with special needs in inclusive settings.
- Proficiency in using the Special Education Data System (SEDS/EasyIEP).
- Knowledge of differentiated instructional strategies and behavior management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff and families.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.
