Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting across a 12-hour night shift
• Perform timely and thorough nursing handoff at shift change, communicating outstanding tasks and relevant patient information not captured in the EMR
• Float to areas of comparable acuity as needed to support staffing requirements
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotation schedules as assigned
• Adhere to all unit policies regarding meal breaks, shift management, and emergency response protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting — no exceptions
• Recent hands-on experience with Epic EMR
• All required certifications must be current and provided with submission
• Ability to work every third weekend and every other holiday as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department
• Strong communication and handoff skills in high-acuity environments
