Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating Day/Night Shifts | 3x12-Hour Shifts per Week | Onsite | Day Shift: 7:00–19:00 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:00

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU setting, including post-operative and critically ill cardiac patients
• Operate and monitor ventilators, multiple patient monitoring systems, and perform EKG interpretation
• Participate in the care of heart transplant patients within the CVPICU
• Float between units within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Work rotating day and night shifts, including required weekend and holiday shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA for licensure posting)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVPICU experience, including formal orientation as a staff or core nurse in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Pediatric cardiac training is required
• Heart transplant experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a children's hospital or dedicated pediatric care environment
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Demonstrated ability to float between pediatric specialty units
