Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 14:00–22:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide surgical technologist support during operative procedures within a surgical services department
• Assist surgical teams by preparing the operating room, arranging instruments, and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures to ensure efficient workflow
• Adhere to all facility compliance, safety, and infection control protocols
• Complete required facility orientation modules and annual competency requirements as directed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in surgical services or the applicable surgical specialty
• Active and unrestricted Ohio state license or valid compact license in hand at time of submission
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission — no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Must have a clear background check — open cases will not be accepted; license hits are not accepted
• Must be able to complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Surgical specialty experience gained within a single location is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment protocols
