Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services within the Urgent Care department, collaborating with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
- Offer leadership and direction to clinic staff, overseeing efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic including front desk and patient care.
- Maintain medication inventory, supplies, and ensure required quality control checks are completed for Point of Care tests.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all care and services provided in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist providers and staff as needed, anticipating needs to support efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively across departments and participate in staff meetings, mandatory training, in-services, and educational programs.
Required Qualifications
- Active, full, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska — must be active at time of submittal.
- Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience, with experience occurring within the last 2 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proof of flu vaccine required.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and meet physical demands of the role including standing, walking, stooping, and reaching.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships across departments.
- Experience with Point of Care testing and proficiency with medical equipment and computer systems.
