Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | 4x12-hour shifts | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13–20 week contracts accepted | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurology unit with a focus on general medicine and neurological diagnoses
• Maintain a 1:6 patient ratio while applying a teamwork-based approach to care with a strong emphasis on patient safety
• Utilize Pyxis for medication administration, EPIC for clinical documentation, and SBAR for patient communication
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, including approximately every other weekend (5–6 weekend shifts per contract)
• Float to other units as needed; contract staff float first
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state (pending license acceptable for submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• First-time travelers accepted
• Open to floating within and near the facility per assignment needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH stroke scale certification or experience
• Prior neurology nursing experience
• Experience in or willingness to learn the charge nurse role
