Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates in a 25-bed NICU setting with Level 2 and Level 3 patients
• Manage neonatal respiratory support, IV and central line care, medication and infusion administration, and neonatal monitoring
• Perform and assist with procedures including neonatal resuscitation, feeding tube placement, blood draws, and phototherapy
• Support thermoregulation and management of critically ill neonates throughout the shift
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with families regarding patient care and status
• Float to Mother-Baby/Postpartum as needed per unit guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Recent NICU experience including care of premature and critically ill neonates
• Competency with neonatal respiratory support, IV/central line management, medication administration, and neonatal monitoring
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level III or Level IV NICU experience and high-risk delivery attendance
• Experience with ventilators, CPAP, and high-frequency ventilation
• Proficiency with PICC, UVC, and UAC line management
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR
