Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 16–26 weeks (26-week commitment preferred) | Rotating weekends required (minimum every other weekend) | Holiday flexibility required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10–14 bed Emergency Department serving a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric
• Perform ESI triage, IV insertion, drip/infusion management, EKGs, restraint application, procedural sedation, and ambulance transports
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitors, and Ranger blood warmers
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity as assigned; charge coverage is provided 24/7 on the unit
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including on-call MD, mid-level providers, ED techs, and telemedicine/telestroke consultation services

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, ENPC, NRP, and TNCC required (TNCC certificate or proof of scheduled class must be included in submission packet)
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• Charge nurse experience required
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; all-season or snow tires strongly recommended November through April — public transportation is not accessible in this area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) or rural Emergency Department
• Ambulance transport experience or willingness to accompany patients on transport
• Comfort with precepting new nursing staff as needed
• Familiarity with telemedicine and telestroke consultation workflows
