Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a high-volume cardiac surgery OR setting, including complex open-heart procedures
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries
• Care for a complex patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases
• Participate in a multi-layer call rotation (24/7 coverage; requirements vary every 6 weeks) in addition to three 12-hour shifts per week
• Adapt to a flexible daily schedule as case needs dictate; a block schedule is not available
• May float between OR rooms within the same facility as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR OR experience
• Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Willingness and availability to participate in call requirements (3 layers of call, 24/7)
• Commitment to a 26-week contract; shorter contract lengths will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO, VAD, and/or transplant procedures
• Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center environments
• Experience in large inpatient and outpatient OR settings
