Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-acuity surgical environment spanning Neuro, Ortho Trauma, Totals, Neuro Spine, and Basic Craniotomy and VP Shunt procedures
• Support vascular cases including PV-RX AAA (start until PV call arrives) and Thrombectomies
• Assist in Trauma cases including RX Spleen, Organ Donation, GSW, and Thoracotomies
• Participate in General, GYN, Laparoscopic, Urology (Cystos and Stent Placements), ENT, Plastics, Oral Max, Dilation & Curettage, and Laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures
• Fulfill call requirements, including Neuro call averaging approximately 90–120 hours every 6 weeks
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required of all travelers

Required Qualifications

• BCLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience; Level I Trauma experience is required
• Must demonstrate proficiency ratings of 3s and 4s in Neuro and Trauma skill sets
• License must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved, with additional RTO subject to facility approval
• Local travelers (Indiana residents) are accepted for this Surgical Services position and may be offered an in-state rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with flap and scope procedures in Plastics and ENT
• Familiarity with DaVinci XI robotic surgical system
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment
