Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting during night shift hours
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythms; must pass a hospital-proctored EKG exam requiring a minimum 85% overall score and 100% accuracy on all critical rhythms
• Administer and document medications using Omnicell medication management system
• Chart accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
• Perform telemetry monitoring as part of routine patient assessment
• Float within the hospital to other units as needed, based on skillset and at manager's discretion

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required prior to start
• PALS certification required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience; 5 years strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting and Omnicell medication system
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemption documentation must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date for approval
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Triage experience
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
