Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips as a core clinical requirement of this role
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, responding to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed per assignment requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or IMC setting
• Cardiac drip titration and management experience is required
• Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals may be considered at a different rate)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Facility does not accept background check hits

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a teaching hospital or high-acuity acute care environment
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Stepdown setting
