Registered Nurse – Mother Baby / Postpartum (Travel)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Weekends Required | No On-Call Shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to mother-baby couplets in a 34-bed private couplet room unit with a 1:3–4 patient ratio
- Monitor and care for postpartum patients, including those receiving Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
- Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, bilirubin blankets, and bilirubin lights
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
- Perform and assist with circumcisions as part of standard unit procedures
- Float as helping hands to Labor & Delivery and NICU as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
- Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing experience — candidates without this experience will not be considered
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Ability to work night shifts and required weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
- STABLE certification
