Key Responsibilities

• Partner with residents and care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment through direct and indirect care
• Provide specialized care to Alzheimer's and dementia residents using verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and an understanding of associated behaviors
• Deliver skilled nursing services including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management on a transitional rehabilitation unit
• Support long-term care residents requiring placement in a home-like environment
• Float to other units as needed to ensure 24/7 coverage

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
• Flexibility to provide coverage across a 24/7 schedule and float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–3 years of previous RN experience preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Experience working with Alzheimer's, dementia, or long-term care populations
• Background in transitional or post-acute rehabilitation nursing
