Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Contract | Evening Shift | Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | 5x8-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines, including trauma sets, loaner trays, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Manage sterile storage and serve as an OR Liaison as needed
• Utilize instrument tracking systems including Censitrac and Medivator

Required Qualifications

• Active CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) required
• Medivator experience required
• Experience working in all areas of a sterile processing department, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, HLD, sterile storage, and OR liaison functions
• Prior experience in a high-volume, Level One trauma or similarly complex facility strongly expected
• Locals are accepted
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Censitrac or similar instrument tracking systems
• Familiarity with robotic surgical instrument reprocessing (e.g., Da Vinci)
• Background working with loaner tray management and trauma service lines
