Travel CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist – Heart Team

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub for cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repairs, vascular surgeries, and open heart surgery
• Operate and assist with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation, heart-lung bypass equipment, endoscopic vein harvesting equipment, cell saver, and specialty cardiovascular equipment
• Provide 1:1 patient care in the operating room throughout all phases of cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Maintain competencies for cardiovascular surgical procedures and work independently in a high-acuity CVOR setting
• Participate in scheduled call rotation, including approximately 10–12 call days per month, some Thursday call coverage, and rotated weekend call
• Must be able to report within the established call-back response time when on call

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• CVOR/open heart surgery scrub experience required
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Ability to take call and respond within the required callback timeframe
• Ability to work independently in a high-acuity CVOR environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TAVR procedures
• Familiarity with endoscopic vein harvesting techniques
• Experience working alongside perfusionists and anesthesia teams in a cardiovascular OR setting
