Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols and physician orders
• Apply knowledge of Critical Paths in the coordination and delivery of patient care
• Float to like units and overflow areas as needed based on census and staffing demands
• Pass a Dysrhythmia (ECG/Telemetry) Competency Exam and a Medications Test prior to assignment — one attempt only, 85% passing score required, no remediation or re-sit available

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Documented professional development activities
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Familiarity with Critical Path methodology and care coordination frameworks
