Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer medications accurately and in accordance with facility protocols
• Apply knowledge of Critical Paths in patient care planning and coordination
• Float to like units and overflow areas as needed based on census and staffing demands
• Complete and pass a facility-administered ECG/Telemetry and Medications competency exam (85% passing score, one attempt only) prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Must pass facility ECG/Telemetry and Medication competency exams prior to assignment (85% passing score; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Documented professional development activities in a clinical setting
