Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on occupational therapy needs.
• Manage a caseload of 50-60 patients, performing assessments, evaluations, and developing individualized plans of care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, adaptive equipment, and safety.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordination within the hospital team.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records using electronic health records.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience.
• Active Illinois state license in good standing.
• BLS and NBCOT certification required.
• Able to work a consistent 8-hour daytime shift.
• Ability to work one weekend per month.
• Must have experience in acute care settings.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with adaptive equipment, pre-discharge planning, and patient education.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, lifting, transfer techniques, and documentation standards.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
