Key Responsibilities
- Train and support users of electronic health record (EHR) and clinical systems
- Configure and optimize clinical content in collaboration with medical staff across outpatient and inpatient settings
- Evaluate and improve clinical processes to align with best practices
- Manage user access and troubleshoot system issues by coordinating with IT and other teams
- Maintain and update clinical applications, including adding new tests, medications, and codes
- Develop training materials and deliver instruction through various modalities
- Assess and enhance clinical decision support systems and workflows
- Collaborate across multiple sites to ensure system and process alignment
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must have applied for license before start date)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical setting, with clinical experience preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working with clinical information systems
- 1 year of experience with computer technology such as programming, report generation, or hardware
- Basic Life Support certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clinical informatics training preferred
- Knowledge of HL7 messaging, scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Inpatient clinical experience
- Teaching or training experience
- Familiarity with hospital and clinic accreditation processes
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and work independently or collaboratively
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% to various sites within the consortium
