- Days, Full-time, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
- Ensure all treatments are delivered following an established plan of care
- Record treatments provided and note patient progress in medical records
- Provide clinical support and instructions to patients, families, and caregivers
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust as necessary
- Complete required documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education)
- Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist
- Empathy and patience when working with patients
- Physical stamina to assist with patient movement and exercises
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
