Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
• Perform assessments, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved policies, standards, and legal requirements.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement initiatives and shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and support to other units in managing patient care.
• Manage complex patient situations, delegate appropriately, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support professional growth, peer review, and evidence-based practice development.
• Maintain timely patient flow in clinic and ambulatory settings, including telephone triage and patient communication.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (verification required)
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in critical care
• Cardiac intervention experience required
• Current RN licensure in WI or a Compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Successfully pass EKG test
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working specifically in a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP setting
