Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) during surgical procedures
• Assist and monitor patients pre, intra, and post-operatively within a Level I Trauma facility
• Maintain accurate and detailed charting using the EPIC system
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weeknights and weekends, ensuring coverage for emergency cases
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant specialists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and infection control protocols

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant nursing
• At least 1 year of CVOR experience
• 1 year of experience within a Level I Trauma hospital
• Current BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Proficiency in general OR, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant nursing practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with the EPIC charting system
• Experience in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and call requirements
