Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Nights (3x12-hour shifts), 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, EOW, Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telehealth patients
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including EKG assessments
• Manage respiratory conditions, diabetic patients, surgery observations, and palliative/end-of-life care
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EPIC)
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to all compliance and safety protocols, including mandatory EKG passing

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical and tele experience
• BLS certification
• Ability to pass an EKG assessment during onboarding (2 attempts permitted)
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Must be flexible for float assignments across Cone Health facilities
• Must have a current valid driver's license (local radius requirement: 50 miles, no locals accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Prior travel nurse experience
• Strong understanding of respiratory and diabetic patient care
