- Full-time, 36-hour weekly, Night shifts (3x12 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to orthopedic surgical patients, including those undergoing joint replacements and spinal fusions.
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage rapid response teams as needed.
- Administer IV therapies, including peripheral line care, and manage respiratory support such as nasal cannula and non-invasive airway devices.
- Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with wound care, wound vac management, and operate unit-specific systems such as Epic and Pyxis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery and comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina or a Compact State, in hand at start.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in orthopedic or surgical units.
- Proven skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response procedures.
- Certified BLS, with additional certifications preferred.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Total joint replacement and orthopedic surgical care experience.
- Experience with Epic charting and wound vac management.
- Flexibility to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed.
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed.
