Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to critically ill neonates in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting.
- Monitor and manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support devices.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, and various IV procedures.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic and other hospital systems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate units based on census and skill set.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 Intensive Care Nursery (ICN).
- Experience with ventilators and advanced neonatal equipment.
- Current NC or Compact RN license, in hand at time of start.
- Certifications: BLS and NRP.
- Ability to work 36-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15).
- Willingness to float as needed during shifts.
- Must complete required modules prior to start date.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time travel NICU experience accepted.
- Experience with complex neonatal procedures such as UAC/UVC, Broviac, Trachs, GTT, and Ostomies.
- Familiarity with hospital systems including EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols.
- Previous experience in Pediatric, PICU, or nursery units is a plus.

Note: Travel and scheduling policies apply, including a maximum of 7 days RTO (Request for Time Off) that can be auto-approved if within 7 days and not on holidays. Candidates must be comfortable floating and working various neonatal procedures. The position requires a minimum of 3 years NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 unit and is based in Charlotte, NC.
