• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to critically ill neonates in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting.
• Monitor and manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support devices.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies including therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, and various IV procedures.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic and other hospital systems.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate units based on census and skill set.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 Intensive Care Nursery (ICN).
• Experience with ventilators and advanced neonatal equipment.
• Current NC or Compact RN license, in hand at time of start.
• Certifications: BLS and NRP.
• Ability to work 36-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15).
• Willingness to float as needed during shifts.
• Must complete required modules prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travel NICU experience accepted.
• Experience with complex neonatal procedures such as UAC/UVC, Broviac, Trachs, GTT, and Ostomies.
• Familiarity with hospital systems including EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols.
• Previous experience in Pediatric, PICU, or nursery units is a plus.

Note: Travel and scheduling policies apply, including a maximum of 7 days RTO (Request for Time Off) that can be auto-approved if within 7 days and not on holidays. Candidates must be comfortable floating and working various neonatal procedures. The position requires a minimum of 3 years NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 unit and is based in Charlotte, NC.
