Registered Nurse NICU

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - NICU

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (with the option to flex to a 4th shift if needed; overtime after 48 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in a Level III and/or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in a high-acuity environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient progress accurately using Meditech EMR system
• Adhere to hospital and unit policies, including compliance and documentation standards
• Float within hospital departments as needed based on patient care demands

Required Qualifications

• Valid state or Compact license in North Carolina
• BLS, NRP, and AHA-certified PALS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience in a Level III or IV unit
• Current NURSYS report and Qualivis Cover Sheet required with profile submission
• Willingness to include all RTO requests on profile and comply with travel policies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system
• Familiarity with NICU protocols and high-acuity neonatal care
• Ability to float within hospital units based on staffing needs
