• Travel, 13-week assignment, 3 shifts per week, Day shift (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients in the CVICU, including ECMO, LVAD, and Cath lab recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality critical care.
• Titrate vesicant medications, manage pressors, sedation, paralytics, and monitor ventilated patients.
• Perform procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertions, chest tube management, and other advanced critical care interventions.
• Ensure documentation in hospital systems and adherence to unit policies and protocols.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional environment for critically ill patients and their families.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
• Minimum of 2+ years of ICU or critical care experience, preferably in CVICU.
• Experience with titration of vesicant meds, pressors, sedation, and ventilator management.
• Ability to understand and interpret hemodynamics and telemetry.
• Knowledge of PA catheter setup and interpretation.
• Basic proficiency in handling chest tubes, transvenous pacing, and cardioversion.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification (recommended but not required).
• Advanced skills such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT are desirable.
• Familiarity with high-tech equipment like ventilators, telemetry, and central lines.
• Experience in a fast-paced critical care environment with complex patient cases.
