Key Responsibilities
- Serve in a lead capacity for day-to-day operations and clinical oversight of a 24/7/365 behavioral health helpline, providing real-time support to individuals in crisis or seeking behavioral health services.
- Maintain expert knowledge of telephonic crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessment aligned with national standards, evaluation of danger to self or others, and real-time coordination of crisis response based on triage and disposition.
- Assist Helpline Specialists with telephone inquiries to ensure safe, efficient, and timely triage of callers, directing individuals with behavioral health or substance use concerns to the appropriate level of care and resources.
- Oversee training for new staff, implementation of new procedures, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives through audits and standard work practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure operational efficiency and serve as a liaison between teams and departments to promote collaboration and consistency.
- Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing guidance and supporting professional development of team members.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related mental health field required.
- Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC required; must be able to bill independently for services rendered.
- Training and competency in the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) required upon hire.
- 3–5 years of experience as a licensed clinical therapist.
- All licensure and certifications must be maintained and kept current.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with intake registration and scheduling operations, including benefit verification, authorizations, obtaining demographic information, and triaging incoming phone inquiries.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
