Key Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform specialized interventional imaging procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures.

• Work collaboratively with physicians to set up, adjust, and utilize equipment for a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures.

• Position patients appropriately to obtain quality images of the area of interest, while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

• Practice sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination to patients and instruments throughout all procedures.

• Provide radiation protection to patients, technologists, and others in the area utilizing PPE and established safety guidelines.

• Recognize emergent situations and activate appropriate assistance as needed; assist other areas and shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Active Indiana State Board of Health licensure.

• Current CPR Certification.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with shared lifting assistance.

• Must be available to take call and reside within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call obligations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional procedures.

• Specialty certification through ARRT is strongly encouraged.

• Demonstrated knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures.

• Ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
