Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical surgical nursing care to patients in a hospital setting.
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with a schedule of 3 days per week.
• Cover variable days and every other weekend to ensure continuous patient coverage.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and state health regulations, including vaccination requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compliance with vaccination mandates, including influenza vaccination (medical exemptions only with approval).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital setting within a Medical Surgical unit.
• Knowledge of statewide vaccination policies and healthcare regulations.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
