Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to patients in the Intermediate Care, Progressive Care, or Stepdown units at a major hospital.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and respond to acute patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms; ensure patient safety during shift.
• Complete required documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio or Compact State RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Stepdown or ICU/PCU specialty prior to travel.
• Recent clinical experience in a hospital setting, travel experience acceptable.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; active and valid.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and fingerprinting within required timeframes.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a hospital setting with progressive care units.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic documentation systems.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
