Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours), with weekend rotations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level I trauma ICU, including trauma/burn and overflow medical and cardiac patients
• Float within scope to various ICU units, medical, neuro, and cardiac floors as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner charting system
• Participate in on-call rotations as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of ICU experience, with specialized experience in trauma/burn units preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS, TNCC, and TNS preferred
• Ability to complete all mandatory compliance modules prior to start date
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating within multiple ICU specialties
• Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Additional Details

• Travel compliance requirements: Tier 2 certification, background checks, and module completion prior to start
• RTO requests of up to 5 days are generally approved; all candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No housing assistance provided; candidates must secure housing independently
• Floating is mandatory for all travelers within the hospital or nearby facilities
• Parking permits provided at no cost during assignment
