Full-time, Days, 3x12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for cardiac patients, including managing dysrhythmias, telemetry, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive medication titrations
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube management, trach care, and external CPAP/BIPAP support
• Focus on cardiac conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, ACS, and post-intervention recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utilize centralized cardiac monitoring systems
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including rapid response team protocols and emergency procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac PCU/IMC or stepdown units
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH preferred
• Experience with telemetric monitoring and management of cardiac rhythms
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and administer cardiac and vasoactive drips
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• Must pass Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Experience with PICC line management and peripheral line care
• Knowledge of procedural sedation and rapid response team activation
• Ability to float across campus as needed
