Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Days Shift, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week, 13-week duration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those with cardiac surgeries and high acuity conditions
- Assist with procedures such as IABP, Impella, LVAD support, chest tube management, pacing wires, and intubation/extubation
- Monitor hemodynamics and operate advanced cardiac devices and monitors
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Support patient ambulation and recovery processes in a critical care setting
- Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code standards
Required Qualifications
- Active ACLS certification
- At least 2 years of experience in CVICU or CVRU settings
- BLS certification required
- Critical care training in a cardiac or ICU environment
- Passion for surgical heart care and critical patient management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care
- Experience with ECMO, Pacer Wires, and LVADs
- Energetic, friendly, and eager to expand critical care skills

- Unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1, depending on acuity
- Availability for weekend shifts and on-call duties, alternating as scheduled
- Travel RN position with current assignment starting April 13, 2026, at a leading cardiac care center in Asheville, NC
