Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a high-volume operating room environment across multiple surgical service lines
- Perform scrub and/or circulator duties as assigned across variable surgical procedures
- Utilize Cerner documentation system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Adhere to a variable schedule with on-call requirements as directed by unit needs
- Float to other departments as needed per facility floating policy
- Maintain patient safety standards and uphold a 1:1 patient ratio during surgical procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience
- Broad surgical knowledge across multiple service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic documentation system
- Ability to meet on-call and variable scheduling requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume or Level II trauma center surgical environment
- Familiarity with robotic surgery programs and advanced surgical technology
- Prior travel nursing experience in an OR/surgical setting
