Schedule / Job Type
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week, contract position
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum care for high-risk obstetric patients in a high-volume, diverse facility
- Monitor and manage patients following delivery, including postpartum hemorrhage and substance withdrawal
- Administer medications such as Magnesium and Pitocin, and manage Foley catheters
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent maternal/newborn nursing experience
- Valid and active compact license (Swedish facilities) or eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months from non-Swedish facilities
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with high-risk obstetric care, including postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium management, and substance withdrawal
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
Preferred Experience / Skills
- JADA experience is a plus
- Experience with high-risk obstetric procedures and postpartum care in a high-acuity setting
