Schedule / Job Type

• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week, contract position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum care for high-risk obstetric patients in a high-volume, diverse facility
• Monitor and manage patients following delivery, including postpartum hemorrhage and substance withdrawal
• Administer medications such as Magnesium and Pitocin, and manage Foley catheters
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent maternal/newborn nursing experience
• Valid and active compact license (Swedish facilities) or eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months from non-Swedish facilities
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with high-risk obstetric care, including postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium management, and substance withdrawal
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Preferred Experience / Skills

• JADA experience is a plus
• Experience with high-risk obstetric procedures and postpartum care in a high-acuity setting
